Continued success for Hampshire Krav Maga

Once again Hampshire Krav Maga students have proven their skills and abilities at the national gradings held in Eton on the 22nd of March 2009.

20 Students from Andover, Basingstoke and Southampton, led by instructor Jim Maidment (G2), have worked hard over recent months and their training paid off with yet another high pass rate which is virtually unheard of for such a large group. Under the watchful eyes of Ze�ev Cohen (E4), from the Israeli IKMF Global Team, and Nick Maison (E1) IKMF-UK Director, students from clubs around the south were put through a gruelling physical exam lasting over 3 hours, students commented that this was shorter than usual but with a far higher tempo of activity.

Battlefield proven, Krav Maga (Contact Combat), an Israeli self defence system, is reality based and focuses on situational awareness, confidence and aggressive response to threats. Recently Krav Maga has gained in popularity as students realise its worth in confrontational situations, especially against armed aggressors.

Krav Maga is specifically designed to be easy to learn and is open to anyone, of any level of ability, at the age of 17 years.

Krav Maga Goes From Strength To Strength

Hampshire Krav Maga students, led by instructor Jim Maidment, have once again enjoyed a 100% pass rate at the recent grading held in Slough and Eton. Under the critical eyes of the of the IKMF Global Team led by Eyal Yanilov, the IKMF Chief Instructor and Nick Maison, the UK-IKMF Director, all of the Andover, Basingstoke and Eastleigh based students who attempted grading were successful during a very strenuous grading process.

The three clubs controlled by Jim continue to see grading success and growing club membership as the word spreads about Krav Maga, a reality based, self defence system based on awareness, confidence and real life situational response.
